"Why Johnny and Suzy Can't Read Music (very well)"
Get expert advice on teaching music reading from Rebekah Richards, an independent piano teacher in St. Paul and the director of the Piano Lab School Program at Gustavus Adolphus College. Rebekah is currently the chair of the MMTA Theory Development Committee and the director of the State Theory Program. Her years of teaching experience and research will give us helpful insights into teaching children to read music.
MVMTA - An Organization to Serve Piano Teachers
MVMTA is a group of piano teachers in the Mankato, Minnesota area who are always trying to improve the quality of our teaching. We are an informal and friendly group and invite all piano teachers to join us.
Need ways to motivate students to practice?
Have a question on a technique problem?
Need help finding just the right music?
Want more ideas about how to run and organize your lessons or business? These and many other subjects are presented in our monthly meetings.
You can get lots of ideas from the group, as well as sharing your own ideas. Whether you are a new teacher or come with 50 years' experience, our group is here for you!
